We marked Equal Pay Day yesterday on March 25th - symbolizing how far into the year women must work to earn what men earned in the previous year. We're also witnessing a transformative era in women's basketball that challenges traditional gender pay gaps in sports. The 2025 March Madness tournament isn't just about brackets and championships; it's about breaking economic barriers. Women's college basketball has seen unprecedented growth in viewership, attendance, and revenue generation. The tournament's expansion has created new opportunities for athletes, coaches, and sports business professionals while highlighting the increasing commercial viability of women's sports.
